Broadcasting and comedy star Iain Lee gearing up for first show in Macclesfield
By Matthew Hancock-Bruce 16th Feb 2026
One of British comedy and broadcasting's most distinctive talents is coming to Macclesfield.
Iain Lee will take to the Cinemac stage next month for a one night only performance of his solo show, Impostor Syndrome, organised by Macclesfield Comedy Club.
Best known as a breakout star on Channel 4's groundbreaking The 11 O'Clock Show, Iain Lee has enjoyed a three-decade career across television, radio, and live performance, including a memorable turn as a campmate on I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!.
Speaking ahead of his first visit to Macclesfield, Iain said: "Really excited to have been asked to play Macclesfield Comedy Club.
"I've heard brilliant things about it and I feel a little nervous seeing some of the names who have preceded me!
"I'm also ashamed to say I've never been to Macclesfield. Very glad to be able to correct that!"
His first solo stand-up tour in over a decade, Impostor Syndrome is described as an exploration of fame, failure, mental health and the persistent feeling of not quite.
It blends archive clips from The 11 O'Clock Show, original songs, audience interaction, and behind-the-scenes stories from the world of celebrity.
Joining Iain on the Cinemac stage on Friday, March 20, will be rising stars Chloe Reynolds and Zuza Bitt, along with host and Macclesfield regular, Jonathan Mayor.
Doors for this over-18s event open at 7pm with the show getting underway at 8pm, finishing around 10.30pm.
Tickets, priced at £15, can be purchased online here.
