It is GCSE results day, and first to share their celebrations with Macclesfield Nub News is The Macclesfield Academy.

The Macclesfield Academy have announced well-earned success for their Class of 2024, meaning that the students have opened the doors to their aspirational Post 16 choices.

Headteacher Mat Galvin said "We know that behind this unprecedented success for our school is the hard graft from our entire Academy team, parents and of course our wonderful students who have worked tirelessly to achieve academic excellence.

"This marks the start of a new era for our school, working in strong collaboration with our fantastic Trust, The Sir John Brunner Foundation, to build on this year's results and continue to demand more from our team, whilst always sticking to our core inclusive belief of every child being 'known and valued'."

Mr. Matthew Snelson, CEO of the Sir John Brunner Foundation, shared his satisfaction with the collaboration and partnership working at The Macclesfield Academy, stating, "It has been a wonderful year working with colleagues at The Macclesfield Academy since they joined our multi-academy trust. I am delighted to see all the hard work of my colleagues, students, and their families resulting in these fantastic achievements."
