Understaffed Macclesfield GP switches to appointments by 'emergency only basis'

Macclesfield: One of the GP's in the Waters Green Medical Centre is accepting patients on an 'emergency only basis'.

One of the six Sunderland Street GPs is facing staff shortage due to coronavirus.

Park Green Surgery, will only let patients book an appointment on an emergency only basis.

In a statement, My Macclesfield GP said: "Due to Covid absences amongst staff members Park Green Surgery is currently operating on an emergency basis.

"Please only contact them if you feel your situation requires urgent attention. Thank you for your support."

The temporary measures have no immediate end date specified.

You can arrange an appointment with Park Green Surgery on 01625 429555.

The Macclesfield GP is open from Monday – Friday, 8am – 6.30pm.
