Watch an epic timelapse of the Ian Curtis mural in Macclesfield

It has been one month since the Ian Curtis mural on Mill Street was completed in Macclesfield.

The street art tribute to the Joy Division singer-songwriter is the masterpiece of Manchester street artist Akse.

Since the art was finished, ex-Joy Division bandmate Peter Hook and Ian Curtis photographer Kevin Cummins have gave their blessings to the mural.

Now, Cheshire East Council have released an epic timelapse video, which chronicling the creation of the stunning art.

The video showing how the art of the ex-Macclesfield musician, civil servant and resident was made can be found by clicking the play button at the top of this article.

It is just 90 seconds long, and has already been viewed 1600 times on YouTube.
