WATCH: Macclesfield residents silently kneel in memory of George Floyd

Macclesfield residents paid their respect to George Floyd by silently kneeling in the town centre for 8 minutes and 47 seconds- the amount of time the police officer charged with his murder had his knee to his neck.

The demonstration concluded with a speech from Eliza Beresford, one of the organisers of today's event. She spoke of challenging racism in our own lives.
