Build An Insect Hotel

Macclesfield Repair Cafe takes place at Macc Repair Café, Duke St Community Centre, Macclesfield, SK11 6UR

Macc Repair Cafe is back on Saturday May 11th.

Bring your broken things to be fixed, and every month there is a theme of something new to learn too.

This month, help nature and build an insect hotel. Places are limited and pre-booking is required.

Tickets £3 for one insect hotel. Choice of morning and afternoon workshops

Plant Hunters Fair on Sunday 12th May.

Spring Plant Hunters' Fair at Capesthorne Hall and Gardens are offering a special HALF PRICE entry rate to the gardens and plant fair of just £4.00!

This new plant fair is happening on Sunday 12 May, which is a great time to get planning and planting for the year ahead. Where better to get inspiration than at this very special plant fair. There will be a great line-up of 20 nurseries & artisans coming from near and far with a wonderful range and diversity of plants and garden accessories.

The Plant Fair runs from 10am-4pm (Gardens open until 5pm) on Sunday 12th May 2024.

Entry to the Plant Fair and Gardens is at the special HALF PRICE rate of just £4.00 (Children 5-16 years old: £1.50)

If you would also like to visit the Hall then this opens 12:30pm to 3:30pm (last entry 3:00pm) for an additional fee of £4.00/adults, £1.00/children (5-16yrs).

The Lakeside Café opens from 11:00am until 4:00pm for home-made light refreshments including soup, sandwiches, salads, cakes and ice creams. Free parking. Dogs on leads welcome.

The Macclesfield Bikeathon is back again for 2024!

Macclesfield residents will have fond memories of this popular cycling fundraiser, and can make new ones this Saturday.

The Bikeathon concept is simple – book, turn up to ride and raise money for youth charity Just Drop In Macclesfield.

There's three Cycle Routes to suit mixed abilities. Family Route 12 miles, Cheshire Plain 30 miles, Cheshire Plain 60 miles.

Macc Rugby Club, Friday and Saturday, it is the Macc Beer Fest.
