Now without further ado...
Five-Hour Easter Eggstravaganza
An Egg-cellent Easter for Maxonians will take place on Saturday.
Macclesfield Town Council's Easter event is set to offer a host of fun and exciting events for children, young people and their families.
The Easter Egg-stravaganza takes place on Saturday 8th April 11-3pm with activities concentrated in and around the Market Place.
Children will be entertained by the Bubble Man who will bring his giant soapy creations to the town, alongside the ever popular Face Painting Queen. With circus street performers The Flying Wheelnuts, crafts in the Grosvenor Centre with Macclesfield Community Artspace, and live music from local Macclesfield group Darren Lloyd and the Dixieland Jazz Duo, the town will be hopping with activity – and all of it FREE!
And don't forget to pick up your trail map, which will lead you on a walk around the town, spotting smartly dressed bunnies with their handsome blue bows hiding on the shelves or in the windows of local shops. With Easter themed prizes to be won, it's worth taking part.
As well as the Town Council events, there are more egg-citing things planned at St. Michaels Church, Christ Church and also at the Silk Museum at Park Green, where they are expecting a bit of 'panda-monium'.
Macclesfield Town Council's Event Officer who was brought it almost one year ago to upgrade the events programme said "We're so excited to be working with our community partners all over town to welcome spring back to Macclesfield. We hope people will come in to take part in the Easter trail, have their face painted or enjoy some live music but then stay in town to visit the activities at St. Michael's Church, Christ Church or the Silk Museum. It really is a full day of activity all over Macclesfield!"
