Cats who share the name of an iconic 1980s movie, are seeking a fur-ever home, after being rescued and finding temporary accommodation in Bollington.

Adorable kitties Harry and Sally go together let cat food and jelly. The pair, which share their names with the heroes of the classic 1989 film When Harry Met Sally are currently seeking rehoming from RSPCA Macclesfield.

The paw-some pair are currently being fostered in Bollington, following a traumatic previous life.

RSPCA Macclesfield told of their plight:

"Harry and Sally are related one way or another; likely to be siblings," they said.

"They are devoted to each other. They were rescued from a home of seven cats well cared for by their owner who sadly passed away.

"They were very traumatised by trying to fend for themselves before their plight was realised.

"We know they lived in a flat with a catflap so a home where the can come and go freely is a must. All the cats took several attempts and a long time to catch.

"Harry and Sally were sent to different fosterers. However, we realised they were pretty much identical, perhaps related, so we chanced a reunion which had an amazing result!

"They are looking for a no pet household with female adults only and they must stay together.

"They will take time to get used to a new home. Patience and waiting for them to come to you is essential but when they settle they can be hilarious.

"They are like an old married couple and will entertain you. They are so funny, play together and often walk around side by side like conjoined twins.

"Harry is more likely to seek attention. Sally is still very wary but braver with Harry at her side. They are both very nervous of sudden noises.. the letterbox, TV and even people outside. They are terrified of mens' voices and men in general. They panic and hide.

"It has been a joy to discover their real natures but it is time for them to find a wonderful new home where they can thrive, go outside and just be delightful cats.

"Do you have it in your heart to help Harry and Sally continue their journey? For more information and an application form please email: [email protected]."
