A new exhibition invites visitors to see the natural world through the lens of an emerging local talent.

Issy Drake, a wildlife photographer and aspiring filmmaker from Macclesfield, is showcasing a collection of her images in Wildlife Wonders.

Having her work exhibited at Tegg's Nose Gallery carries special significance for the young photographer.

She said: "It means so much to me to have my work displayed locally, in a place surrounded by stunning landscapes and scenery that inspire so much of my photography.

"I hope people look at my photos and feel inspired to step outdoors and see what's on their doorstep.

"You don't have to go far to see something magical."

Issy's interest in photography began with a love of spending time outdoors.

Walks with family and friends sparked a fascination with wildlife that gradually evolved into a passion for capturing the animals and landscapes she encounters.

Birds are among her favourite subjects, but she is equally drawn to the unexpected moments that make wildlife photography so rewarding.

One such encounter came during an early morning wait for a train at Stockport station.

Issy said: "I was waiting for the train when I saw the fox.

"It was early in the morning and the light was beautiful.

"I was in the right place at the right time and lucky to have my camera at hand.

"I almost missed the train photographing this gorgeous creature!"

Wildlife Wonders runs until Wednesday, October 14, at Tegg's Nose Gallery.

Visitors are invited to leave comments in the exhibition visitors' book.
