Person taken to hospital after car crash at The Picturedrome

There was a car crash in Central Macclesfield this morning, on Chestergate's west side.

A car had crashed into The Picturedrome at 8:46am this morning.

No damage to the building has been reported, but paving slabs were uprooted but have since been put back in place.

Macclesfield Nub News contacted Cheshire Police for a statement.

The aftermath.

"At 8.46am on Friday 24 May police were called to reports of a collision on Chestergate, Macclesfield," they said.

"Officers attended the scene and found that a silver BMW had collided with The Picturedrome.

"There were no reports of any serious injuries, but the driver of the car was taken to hospital as a precautionary measure.

"No arrests have been made. The scene has since been passed to Highways Officers."
