It is a step towards victory for 20 is Plenty campaigners in Macclesfield.

Residents across Cheshire East are being asked to take part in a consultation which could see speed limits lowered in the borough.

Members of the 20 is Plenty Campaign were in the public gallery at Macclesfield Town Hall as members of the highways and transport committee debated a draft version of the speed management strategy. And many campaigners spoke at the meeting.

Agency rates for care staff are 'going through the roof' with some nursing homes having to pay £75 an hour for a qualified nurse, according to a conversation from a Macclesfield councillor and one of Cheshire East's top bosses.

A Premier League footballer has criticised newspapers for using a picture of himself, when reporting on stories about arrested Prestbury footballer Benjamin Mendy.

Édouard Mendy, posted a story on Instagram expressing disappointment that media outlets had used his wrongly picture associating himself with the police case involving Macclesfield area resident Benjamin Mendy.
