Antivaxx propaganda in our borough - along with social media are to blame for carehome workers not taking jabs.

More than 130 staff working in Cheshire East care homes haven't had both Covid jabs, although half of these are exempt on medical grounds.

The matter was raised at Monday's meeting of the adults and health committee where Cllr Arthur Moran (Nantwich North & West, Ind) raised concerns that the November deadline for all staff to be double jabbed could have a negative impact on staff numbers.

Cllr Craig Browne (Alderley Edge, Ind) was speaking during a debate on the council's highways service improvement plan after Cllr Barry Burkhill (Handforth, Ind) had referred to the poor state of the roads due to 'chronic underfunding'.
