The incident occurred at between 10.20pm and 10.30pm on Friday July 16 in the Peel Street area of the town.

Over £54,000 has been raised for charity by Congleton based wealth management firm, Franklyn Financial Management, at their annual star-studded golf day, taking the total raised to over £1,050,000.

Two Macclesfield residents will cycle over 120 miles from Bristol to London, to raise money for the people of Palestine.
It is in response to the humanitarian crisis in Palestine, part of a national charity effort called 'The Big Ride for Palestine', in association with the charity Middle East Children's Alliance.
Macclesfield Rugby Club will be hosting drop-in COVID-19 tests today.
The Cheshire East Council Swab Squad will be on Priory Lane offering free tests.

Macc Assemble, a short film celebrating what is so great about our town, has been released for public viewing, after a Barnaby premiere last month.
As the famous Barnaby Parade couldn't take place this year, people from across Macclesfield banded together to celebrate in a different way – by creating The Macc Assemble Showreel Parade – a continuous rolling film connecting people of the town together.
