New chief executive, Mark Howden (image: Peaks and Plains Trust)

A Macclesfield housing association with around 5,000 homes has appointed a permanent chief executive following the resignation of his predecessor.

Mark Howden, who joined Peaks & Plains Housing Trust as Director of Place from Balfour Beatty in May 2019, took on the role of interim chief executive last November following the self-referral to the Regulator of Social Housing and resignation of then chief executive, Tim Pinder.

Cheshire East Council has published a document that outlines the plans they have made should there be a local outbreak of Covid-19.

The council says this plan, part of the government's national Covid-19 test, trace, contain and enable recovery strategy, will help ensure that an effective and coordinated approach is in place for the prevention, rapid detection and management of any coronavirus outbreaks within Cheshire East.
