A dance group who practice in Macclesfield town centre have won a national award.

The Jordon Leigh Dance Academy (otherwise known as JLDA or JL Dance Academy) headed down to Blackpool last weekend with a group of 105 dancers & parents/family members to compete in the Callinguout UK Championships at Winter Gardens.

The dance school achieved some amazing results over the weekend with teams 'Lil Sass' & 'Sass Squad' winning & becoming UK CHAMPS! Other teams Royalty & Toxik also bagged an amazing 2nd place in their heats.

The squads have been training hard over the last few months for their biggest comp of the year and the results paid off.

Macclesfield's 'Sass Squad' also took the top prize.

School principal & teacher Jordon Day says "she is extremley proud of all the dancers who attended the competition in Blackpool last weekend and the commitment they've shown in the lead up to the event."

'Both in and out of the competition everyone had the best weekend, we are one tight dance family and these dancers will cherish these memories forever."

They practice at Longacre Street in Macclesfield.
