Crystal Palace have pledge their share of the away ticket sales to Macclesfield.

The Eagles have 'unequivocally insisted' that they will return the equal value of their ticket sales from their allocation to the Silkmen as a gesture of goodwill.

It comes ahead of the Premier League side's visit to the Leasing.com Stadium in the third round of the Emirates FA Cup.

"We cannot understate our gratitude for and are wholeheartedly appreciative of the deed," said a spokesperson for Macclesfield FC.

"We are excited to warmly welcome everyone at Crystal Palace and their supporters when they venture north to Macclesfield in the New Year, and we hope that everyone associated with the Silkmen will equally show their appreciation to our visitors for their willingness to donate their ticket earnings from the tie.

"To have the opportunity to host Premier League royalty and the Emirates FA Cup holders at the Leasing.com Stadium is undeniably a rarity, and although we have aspirations to make this less of an irregular occurrence, the gestures made will irrefutably go a long way to supporting the Club financially in years to come, which appears to be humbly recognised by Palace, and represents admirable solidarity throughout the English football pyramid.

"We would again like to thank Crystal Palace for this gesture and wish them a very safe journey to and from the Leasing.com Stadium in January and hope they enjoy a pleasant experience upon their visit to Macclesfield FC."
