Average house price in Macclesfield up almost fifty per cent since 2019

The average house price in Macclesfield is fast-approaching the national average.

That is according to property website Rightmove, who estimate the average sale price for homes as of January 2022 in the UK is £341,019.

Macclesfield's average prices have sky-rocketed up in recent years, but still remain below Britain's average.

Rightmove estimate the average Macc house price is £260,007, up 48% since 2019.

The majority of sales in Macclesfield during the last year were terraced properties, selling for an average price of £184,765. Semi-detached properties sold for an average of £257,883, with detached properties fetching £431,055.

Overall, sold prices in Macclesfield over the last year were 48% up on the previous year and 23% up on the 2012 peak of £210,965.

In total, 626 properties in Macclesfield were sold during 2021.
