Art Fair Cheshire returns in October 2026

8–15 October 2026 – Macclesfield Town Hall – 10:30–16:00 daily

Art Fair Cheshire returns in 2026, bringing together an inspiring collection of work from talented local and regional artists — all in support of East Cheshire Hospice. The biennial event has been a muchloved feature of the region's cultural calendar since 1999, raising vital funds to help us continue providing expert, compassionate care for adults with lifelimiting illnesses.

A celebration of creativity and community

Throughout the week, visitors can explore a carefully curated exhibition featuring original paintings, sculpture, ceramics, jewellery, textiles, glasswork and mixedmedia pieces. Each artist donates a percentage of their sales to the Hospice, with many choosing to give even more, helping to fund the essential services we provide across Macclesfield, Buxton, Congleton, Knutsford, Wilmslow and the surrounding areas.

Two gallery spaces within Macclesfield Town Hall will host a diverse range of work: the Assembly Gallery for fine art and sculpture, and the Capesthorne Gallery for jewellery, ceramics, photography and other specialist crafts.

More than an art fair

Art Fair Cheshire is about connection as much as creativity. Throughout the event, visitors can enjoy:

• Artist tours and talks, offering the chance to hear directly from exhibiting artists about their inspiration and practice.
• A welcoming popup café, serving delicious cakes and coffee — the perfect spot to relax and take in the atmosphere.
• Opportunities to meet makers, discover new talent and purchase unique works to treasure.

Supporting East Cheshire Hospice

Funds raised through the Fair make a significant difference to local people. Less than 21% of the Hospice's income comes from government funding, meaning community support is essential. Every purchase made at Art Fair Cheshire directly helps us provide free, specialist care for patients and their families at one of the most challenging times in their lives.

Want to exhibit?

Applications are now open for artists wishing to take part in the 2026 Fair. We welcome submissions from painters, ceramicists, jewellers, printmakers, photographers, mixedmedia artists and makers of all kinds. All applications go through our selection process to ensure a balanced, highquality exhibition. Artists can apply via the online form and are encouraged to read the full artist guidelines before submitting.
