Sunday 5 July
The great Langley fete is on Sunday, July 5!
This year's Langley fete will be held on Sunday 5 July from 12.30pm on Langley playing fields and will be a fun afternoon out for all the family! There will be lots to do with loads of stalls to browse plus the popular tombola, coconut shy, books, the famous Langley duck races down the Bollin and the Fell Race which will see competitors running up and down Teggs Nose. For the kids there are races, hook a duck, glitter tattoos, bouncy castle, football games, ice creams and a fancy dress competition so all the children can get their best costumes out ready for the judges and the chance to win a great prize!
The fete also hosts one of the best dog shows in the area with loads of categories to enter including waggiest tail, best rescue, best veteran and dog most like its owner so don't forget to bring your four legged friend.
There will be plenty to eat and drink with a fantastic BBQ, great tea tent and everyone's favourite, the beer tent which this year is run by the fete again and is offering a fab selection of real ales and a gin bar at bargain prices so don't miss out.
The event rounds off with live music from Langley's very own Teggs Nose Pickas and a singer who wowed the crowds last year and had the whole audience singing and dancing, X-factors' Andy Hofton.
