The wonderful, picturesque Redesmere Fete is on Saturday July 29th this year. The Water Lily Queen is rowed across Redesmere Lake in her Swan Boat to her crowning at the lakeside by the King of Redesmere. The procession to the lake leaves Siddington Village Hall, (on the A34, SK11 9JR), at 1.30 p.m. A traditional country Fete follows, with entertainment from the Rock Choir, Wychcraft Big Band and even a Punch and Judy and balloon artist. Teas are available and there's a licensed bar. Admission £2 for adults, children free. (Cash only event.)
