We start with a warm welcome and introductions, relax and settle. Information is provided about the history of baby massage and different oils. Cold pressed organic olive oil is provided along with a massage booklet and various other resources. Demonstrate strokes on weighted doll building to a full massage by week 5. The pace is calm and baby led (babies will cry, sleep and feed during the sessions). We learn to recognise when your baby might respond best to massage. Poems and short readings are included. We have discussions about related topics and chat over homemade cake and a cuppa. Touch is a wonderful way to communicate with babies they gradually respond more to the gentle massage strokes and interaction with their parents. Touch can be be beneficial to parents helping with relaxation and bonding. Massage can help relieve tummy discomforts such as colic, wind and constipation. Baby massage can help with overall development, such as hand eye co-ordination, including nursery rhymes and offer simple adaptations to tummy time.
Mums and Dads are welcome. There is no extra charge for twins.
We have fun, laughter and share ideas in a supportive environment.
