Dom Pipkin and the Ikos

New Orleans funk Mardi Gras comes to Mash with Dom Pipkin & The Ikos. "The greatest New Orleans band never to come from Louisiana" (Rocking Magpie)

They play second line, funk and their own street beat. They cover the Meters and Dr John. Zigaboo Modeliste of the Meters says "Dom brings the whole New Orleans thing to the UK. So good". "I can't hold a candle to this guy!" says Jamie Cullum.

The Ikos leader and founder Dom Pipkin started off as keyboard player to Errol Linton, directed the Paloma Faith band and spent nearly a decade on the keyboards with trip-hop pioneers Morcheeba, recording on their seminal "Big Calm" album.
