Monday 12 January
SciBar is science in a bar - an invited speaker gives a talk on a scientific topic while people enjoy a drink or meal, with a Q&A afterwards. Bollington SciBar takes place at the Vale Inn in Bollington.
The topic in January is Fading Fertility, and the speaker is Dr Michael Carroll from Manchester University.
There is a global decline in total fertility rates – that is, the predicted number of children a woman has in her lifetime. Should we be worried? This talk will explore reasons for this fertility decline, the social and economic impacts.
No charge, all welcome. Talk starts promptly at 6.30pm.
