The deadline for Macclesfield good causes to apply for a grant potentially worth thousands of pounds has been extended.
Every year, the Co-op Food raise money for twelve good causes across Macclesfield.
This is raised through money that Co-op members spent on Co-op branded groceries, that is then put into a pot and shared across charities or good causes at the end of each year.
This year, local beneficiaries include a Bollington Parkinson's support group, a disabled children's charity, and Macclesfield's The Rossendale Trust.
Charities, schools and other local causes are invited to apply for next year's fund, with the deadline having just been extended.
The deadline is now at midnight on Sunday June 25, click the red link on this sentence to apply.
The Co-op are looking to support projects that:
- Bring people together to access food
- Help improve people's mental wellbeing
- Create opportunities for young people to be heard and make a difference
- Enable people to save and restore nature or tackle climate change
