In Pictures: VE Day from Neighbours in Macclesfield

Yesterday marked the 75th anniversary of VE day and despite the current lockdown restrictions, Macclesfield found a way to mark the occasion.
Around the town, neighbours came together to host socially distanced street parties and bask in the wonderful weather.
Scones, tea and other traditional delicacies were in abundance as the sun beat down.
Bunting was hung from houses, posters and decorations were strung up in windows and the community came out in force to join in with the celebrations.
The photos in the gallery above display snippets of the day from Macclesfield streets.
Examples of this saw Beech Farm Drive residents in Tytherington deck the street in red white and blue and had music playing with neighbours getting to know each other better.
The Lyme Green area saw models made depicting iconic ships and planes from the Second World War and they were treated to Gemma Sutton sinning 1940's classics.
Oxford Road was another street to come together whilst staying socially distant to commemorate the end the war.
