Macclesfield: Here are the latest COVID-19 cases, hospitalisation and vaccination figures

The latest COVID-19 vaccination and case numbers for Macclesfield, with little change in hospitalisations.

It is easier than ever to book your COVID-19 vaccine in Macclesfield, but cases are still in the hundreds in our area, with almost 300 active cases in the Macclesfield area.

Macclesfield Nub News has the latest coronavirus figures for every ward we cover in the SK10 and SK11 area.

There have been some big changes, with three areas seeing a decrease in cases.

Macclesfield East & Hurdsfield now have the most cases in our area.

Gawsworth & Macclesfield Forest remains the most vaccinated, with a higher concentration of an older population.

Central Macclesfield, which contains a populous and dense concentration of young people, is still the last vaccinated.

In total there are 277 active cases in the Macclesfield area, up 114 from 163 cases last week.

258 new people in Cheshire East had a confirmed positive test result reported on 15 July 2021.

Between 9 July 2021 and 15 July 2021, 1,461 in Cheshire East had a confirmed positive test result. This shows an increase of 49.8% compared to the previous 7 days.

Government data suggested there were 3786 patients in UK hospitals with confirmed COVID-19 yesterday.

This has increased by over 2500, from just 1,178 in hospital this time one month ago.

For data protection reasons, it is not known the precise location of residence those hospitalised.

There were six patients in hospital with coronavirus in East Cheshire NHS Trust hospitals on July 13, two were on ventilators.

Between 9 July 2021 and 15 July 2021, there have been 2 hospital deaths in Cheshire East within 28 days of a positive coronavirus test. Zero change compared to the previous 7 days.
