The new Silkmen have revealed an impromptu fixture, as part of their packed pre-season schedule, where they have gone on an unbeaten run.

Macclesfield FC will face Winstanley Warriors at their Little Lane ground on Tuesday July 13 (tomorrow).

They are located in a town of the same name, which is a suburb of Wigan.

Despite their Greater Manchester location, they play in a Cheshire league.

They play in the Cheshire Football League Premier Division, which is below Macclesfield FC in the Football Pyramid. It is one of the few friendly fixtures ahead of Macc's first ever competitive season against weaker opposition.

The club which play in red and black, are is a 36 mile drive from Macc.

They won their league last season, so will hope to keep their winning form against the Silkmen.

"Macclesfield FC can confirm that we will be making the trip to Cheshire Football League Premier Division side Winstanley Warriors tomorrow evening," the club said.

The Postcode for sat navs is WN3 6PZ. Kick-off will be at 7pm."

Macclesfield FC will then return home to play Stalybridge Celtic in a pre-season fixture on Saturday, July 17.

Their remaining pre-season fixtures are pictured.

The weekend saw Macc play a 2-2 draw with Leek Town. The Northern Premier League Division One South East side are ranked higher than our town's club in the Football Pyramid, so Macclesfield put up a great effort to prevent them from winning.

Tom Clare and Edy Maieco scored the goals against the Staffordshire club. Portugese forward Maieco is on fire for Macc, having netted thrice in as many matches.
