A Macclesfield Nub News sponsor has passed a significant milestone.

Online competition firm Easy Winning Limited, has now given away the value of £1,000,000 in prizes.

The online raffle company gives away prizes like cash, cars and gadgets every day.

And after three years in business, the total value of their prizes given away has hit seven figures for the first time.

Please note: You need to make an account to enter the draws, so you can be contacted if you win.

And it is not just to the public that Easy Winning have given out to, as Easy Winning has sponsored Macclesfield Nub News for the past six months.

Easy Winning Limited's Charles Edwards, who is from Buxton, had this to say about the million-pound milestone.

"It feels strange in a good way to have met this milestone, as I just started the business in lockdown in my bedroom", said Charles.

"It doesn't feel real that I have given away that much, as I still run the business out of the spare bedroom in my house. But we've hit it!

They have also started doing prize draws which also raise money for charity every month. (Image - Macclesfield Nub News)

"I haven't even had time to sit and appreciate it, it is just on to the next million now. And then three million, five million. Let's go for it.

"It doesn't feel real that that many people enter to have given away the value of one million. We've got an amazing 16,000 active customers on the website, who trust us and keep playing every week."

While not all that million is cash, with things like phones, game consoles and SUVs having been given away, it is still a special moment for Easy Winning.

As well as making money themselves as a business, and giving goodies to their winners, Easy Winning also does their bit for charity.

"We've recently started doing monthly charity competitions as well," revealed Charles.

"Raising money for a new charity each month, as well as money for the competition winner.

"For the monthly charity draws, 100% of the profits from that competition will go to a different local charity every month.

"For example, yesterday's charity draw raised £500 for The Thomas Theyer Foundation.

Upcoming competitions include giving away this Mini and Audi.

"The month before was New Mills Youth and Community Project, before that it was High Peak Baby Bank."

They hope to forge links with Macclesfield charities in the future as well.

It is this local charity support that sets Charles apart from national competitors, as well as it being easier to win as the odds are shorter with less entrants in their raffle draws.

"We're also bringing someone on full-time as a company, to help me as well," revealed Charles.

"Thank you everyone for their support so far. We can't wait for the future."
