A new Macclesfield takeaway is establishing positive roots in the community, by helping customers save money.

Saffron Express, of 128 Broken Cross, is offering a large discount this December and January.

From now until January 31, you can get 25% off your food, subject to minimum order of £20.

Saffron Express owner Sanaam Ahmed explained why they are introducing this temporary collection-only offer.

They are open from 5 until 10:30pm Sunday to Thursday, and 5 to 11pm Friday to Saturday.

"We want to give customers more incentive to try something new," said Sanaam.

"As we are from the local community, we want to give back for Christmas and the New Year.

"In December people's bills get sky high, so we decided to give back to the customers so they can do their Christmas shopping and enjoy a delicious homemade takeaway as well.

"And we have extended the discount to January too, as everyone is feeling the pinch then also.

"We look forward to cooking for you. We are a new Indian experience with authentic home-style cooking.

"We will also be changing the menu in the new year to keep things exciting."

Menu items include Keralan fish curry, palak paneer, and a set menu from £20.95. (Discount not applied)

To take advantage of the discount just order off their app, website, or in-person, and the discount will be calculated at checkout.

Please note: The offer applies for collection only.

Additionally, they will always offer a free delivery within two-and-a-half miles of Saffron Express, for orders over £20.

The building previously housed another Indian takeaway, but Saffron Express is an all-new team, menu and management, despite being located in the same place.

Saffron Express have also pledged to support independent journalism with Macclesfield Nub News, by becoming a Nub News sponsor.
