A pub and brewery located near to one another, are hosting a 'meet the brewer' event, together.

The Hanging Gate pub, in Higher Sutton, will welcome Wincle Brewery head brewer Grant Leah into their doors on Thursday October 10, 2024.

The pub already sells Wincle beers on bottle, and a rotating cask beer.

Grant will be there to talk about the latest beer to be on the pumps at The Hanging Gate, called Bengal Buttress.

Bengal Buttress is a 4.3% IPA. made using fresh hops, harvested last month and brewed within hours from being picked.

Grant will be in The Hanging Gate pub, from 7pm, to discuss how he brewed it, along with any other questions.

Hillary Spokes, of The Hanging Gate pub said: "This Thursday evening we welcome Grant from Wincle Beer Company Ltd, who will be sharing his knowledge and passion of all things beer.

"Come and have a taste, and maybe discover who the Old Hag is. [Old Hag is the name of another Wincle ale]."
