Euros fever is gripping Macclesfield as football fans look forward to Sunday's (July 14) showdown between England and Spain in Berlin.
This is certainly the case at Sylk Flooring in Bollington, which has kindly given its team a day off on Monday July 15, so they can either celebrate or commiserate appropriately.
The local flooring company, which specialises in both domestic and commercial flooring, will postpone all installations that day, with business as usual returning from the Tuesday July 16.
Sylk Flooring Founder and generous boss Matt Hopley, cited his employees' efforts as a key reason for his benevolence.
"We decided to let them have it off as they work hard all year and deserve to be supporting England in the final, without being in work on the Monday," he told Macclesfield Nub News.
"My prediction is 2-0 to England (hopefully)".
In reality, the decision may not even his to make.
New Prime Minister Keir Starmer has neither confirmed nor denied whether there will be a Bank Holiday this Monday, should the England men's team come home with their first success in an international tournament since 1966.
Kick-off time on Sunday evening is 8PM, and is free to watch on both the BBC and ITV.
Everyone at Nub News wishes the Three Lions the best of luck against Spain on Sunday.
Matt's generosity does not just stop with his team, as he is also offering a discount to Nub News readers. Read more HERE.
