Macclesfield College has announced a new partnership with Park Lane School, a specialist educational institution dedicated to enabling the achievement of all pupils.

The college is 'delighted' to make the partnership, a spokesperson said.

The collaborative project, titled Bridge to Success, will see college students and apprentices joining forces to create a unique, inclusive educational play park for the learners of Park Lane School.

This play park will be designed around three themes – Land, Air and Sea – with each zone offering themed equipment and learning resources to stimulate curiosity and creativity.

The partnership aims to offer Macclesfield College students a unique opportunity to gain real world experience by contributing to the design and construction of this inspiring project. Simultaneously, students at Park Lane School will benefit from a fantastic outdoor space tailored to their educational and developmental needs.

Tony Costello, Construction Manager at Macclesfield College and Governor at Park Lane School, expressed his enthusiasm for the initiative. "I feel strongly about ensuring all students experience a rewarding educational journey", he said.

"I was thrilled to join Park Lane School as a governor, focusing on personal development, behaviour and attitudes. This collaboration between Macclesfield College and Park Lane School aligns perfectly with my passion for learning and creating opportunities for all students to succeed."

Emma Shaw, Headteacher at Park Lane School, added: "We are looking forward to working in partnership with Tony Costello to open up opportunities for both the college and ourselves.

"This collaboration will positively impact the outcomes of all students, providing them with invaluable experiences and a fantastic new outdoor learning environment."

A College spokesperson said: "The Bridge to Success project exemplifies the power of community partnerships and shared commitment to creating meaningful learning opportunities."
