Macclesfield College hosted an open event last night, which the college has described as 'incredibly successful'.

The Park Lane place of further education welcomed an 'unprecedented number' of prospective students and families to explore the campus and learn more about the range of courses available.

The evening saw a 70% increase in applications compared to last year's October event, reflecting the growing interest in the College.

Visitors were able to tour the facilities, meet staff and engage in interactive activities that provided a glimpse into life at Macclesfield College.

Fingers are crossed for high numbers at next month's open event as well.

"These are truly exciting times for us," said Rachel Kay, who has been chief executive and principal of Macclesfield College since August 2015.

"The overwhelming interest shows the growing reputation of our college and the wide variety of courses and opportunities we offer."

For those who missed last night's event, their next open day will take place on Saturday 23rd November, from 10.30am to 1pm.
