Beech Hall School is celebrating a 'remarkable' set of A-level results.

Pupils at the non-selective independent school in Tytherington collected their results on Thursday morning, August 13, with many securing places at coveted universities.

This year's results reflect the diverse strengths and individual journeys of pupils, with success across a wide range of subjects and pupils achieving their individual academic ambitions.

Headmaster James Allen said: "We are incredibly proud of every member of this year's A Level cohort and the achievements they have secured today. Each pupil has their own individual strengths, ambitions and journey, and it has been wonderful to see their hard work, commitment and resilience rewarded.

"What makes this year's results particularly special is the breadth of achievement across the cohort. Our pupils have excelled academically across a range of subjects, while also showing tremendous determination in overcoming challenges and pursuing their goals.

"We are proud of the contribution every pupil has made to the Beech Hall community and grateful to our staff members and families for the support they have provided. We wish the entire cohort every success as they take their next steps, and we look forward to following their achievements in the years ahead."

Among this year's success stories is that of Imogen Regan, a year 10 pupil who has demonstrated exceptional mathematical ability by taking A-level mathematics three years ahead of the usual year 13 cohort.

Imogen, aged 15, achieved an A*, having sat the exam three years earlier than most pupils would.

Her latest achievement follows an exceptional GCSE performance last year, when, aged just 14 and in year nine, she sat both maths and further maths GCSEs two years ahead of schedule, achieving a remarkable grade nine in both subjects. She also achieved the maximum possible 160 marks in further maths.

Imogen will continue her studies in year 11 at Beech Hall School and has her sights set on studying at an Oxbridge university.

The school is also celebrating the achievements of Dmytro Vasylevskyi, who has secured passes in three A-evel subjects - physics, chemistry and mathematics.

Dmytro, who lives in Macclesfield, joined the Tytherington-based school on a scholarship programme following the outbreak of war in Ukraine.

Arriving in the UK alongside his siblings, he began his time at the school with no English language skills, facing the challenge of adapting to a new country, a new education system and learning in a second language.

Also marking his A-level success today is Andrew Kelly, who studied mathematics, physics and computer science and now has ambitions to study mathematics at Keele University.

Andrew achieved a B grade in mathematics, a significant achievement after overcoming the challenges associated with dyslexia throughout his education.

Alongside this, Andrew and Isaac Platt-Wells have both successfully completed their Level 3 computing qualification, achieving merits and distinctions.
