Macclesfield College has been welcoming students to collect their results and celebrate the rewards of their hard work.

"From big smiles to happy tears, there have been some amazing moments!" said a college spokesperson.

"A huge congratulations to everyone on their results, you should be so proud of yourselves!"

Cheshire East Council has confirmed that 23.4% of entries across the borough were awarded grades A to A*.

Meanwhile, nearly half (49.9%) achieved grades A* to B.

Councillor Emma Gilman, cabinet member for education and SEND at Cheshire East Council, said: "Today is a moment to celebrate everything they have accomplished and the opportunities that lie ahead.

"Whether students are heading to university, taking up an apprenticeship, pursuing further training or starting their careers, they should be incredibly proud of what they have achieved.

"I also want to recognise those students who may not have received the results they were hoping for today.

"While it can be disappointing when things do not go as planned, it is important to remember that exam results do not define you, your potential or your future."

Head student Luke Atkinson has been reflecting on his time at All Hallows Catholic College.

He said: "My time at All Hallows has been incredibly rewarding, and I am so grateful for the support, encouragement and opportunities I have received along the way.

"The teachers have always believed in us and helped us to achieve our best.

All Hallows Catholic College is celebrating a 'fantastic' set of A-level and BTEC results.

Many of this year's cohort are progressing to prestigious universities across the country, with others securing places on highly competitive professional and vocational pathways.

Head of sixth form, David Howells, said: "This year group has approached their studies with determination, maturity and a real sense of purpose.

"We are delighted to see them rewarded with such positive outcomes and exciting destinations.

"They have played a full part in the life of the sixth form and leave with our thanks, congratulations and very best wishes for the future."

This year's cohort at King's School achieved around half of all grades at A*/A and more than three quarters at A* to B grade.

A total of 20 students achieved all A* or A grades and over a third of students achieved an A* in one subject or more.

Head, Jason Slack, said: "I'm absolutely thrilled with this excellent set of results for A levels and other qualifications.

"This cohort have worked exceptionally hard and thoroughly deserve their success.

"I couldn't be more proud of them."

With A*AA and an A in her EPQ, Annabelle Jordan is heading to Exeter to study economics, where she will be joined by Sophie Payne who secured a place on a business economics course with a year in industry with three A's.

Finally, Will Oliver achieved A*A*B with an A in his EPQ and will study law at Bristol University.

Tytherington School headteacher Manny Botwe is beaming this morning, feeling the school's A-level results reinforce the findings of their recent Ofsted inspection.

"What matters most is that our young people leave us ready for their next step and excited about their futures," added Mr Botwe.

"Their success is the result of their resilience, grit and hard work, combined with the expertise, care and commitment of our staff and the support of their families.

Oli and Henry will be heading to Cambridge to study natural science and maths.

Meanwhile, Ivy will be attending Oxford where she will be studying French and Spanish.

Sixth form students at Fallibroome have been celebrating receiving their A-level results and making plans about the next stages of their careers or studies.

The Priory Lane school has announced that a 'large percentage' of students have gained places at their first-choice universities.

A special mention goes to the 20 students who achieved three A grades or better in all of their exams.

Acting director of sixth form, Claire Burstow, said: "It has been a real pleasure to work with such a lovely cohort of students and see them develop into independent young people.

"Throughout their time in sixth form they have shown great resilience and strength of character. We are proud and delighted to share their celebrations today and wish them every success in the future."

Tim Roca MP has shared a message for pupils collecting their results.

He said: "A huge congratulations to all Macclesfield students receiving their A-level, T-level and BTEC results today!

"I hope you're able to celebrate your achievements and the hard work that has got you here.

"And if things haven't gone quite as planned, remember that today is just one moment in a much bigger journey.

"Your results don't define you, and there are always different paths and opportunities ahead.

"Wishing everyone the very best for whatever comes next!"

Imogen Regan is among the many success stories at Beech Hall School.

The 15-year-old year 10 pupils took her A-level mathematics exam three years early, achieving an A*.

This follows an exceptional GCSE performance last year, when, aged just 14 and in year nine, she sat both maths and further maths GCSEs two years ahead of schedule, achieving a remarkable grade nine in both subjects. She also achieved the maximum possible 160 marks in further maths.

Imogen will continue her studies in year 11 at Beech Hall School and has her sights set on studying at an Oxbridge university.
