Macclesfield pole and aerial hoop studio launches updated timetable with new beginner classes
By Matthew Hancock-Bruce 12th Aug 2026
An aerial hoop and pole fitness studio is looking to 'remove every barrier'.
Cosmic recently launched their updated timetable, which includes the addition of a new beginners' class.
While all of their classes are open to any level, the beginner sessions have been specifically designed for people interested in trying out a class or just getting started on their aerial journey.
"We designed our beginner classes specifically to remove every barrier we could think of," said Kiera Leigh, owner of Cosmic.
"You don't need any prior experience, any particular level of fitness, or a specific body type; our classes are genuinely open to anybody.
"What I love about aerial and pole as entry points into fitness is that progress feels really tangible and exciting. You come in not being able to do something, and within a single class you're doing it. That feeling is incredibly powerful, and it's what keeps people coming back.
"It also builds a kind of strength that you just don't get from a gym. It's functional, it's full-body, and it happens almost without you noticing because you're having such a good time."

Beginner pole and hoop classes run at 10am every Monday and 9am every Saturday.
The new beginner heels and flow class, run by Aurora Skies, was launched in July and takes place every Monday at 5.30pm.
Kiera continued: "Our beginner classes currently cover pole fitness, aerial hoop and heels and flow, and they're all about giving people a welcoming, pressure-free introduction to the discipline.
"We always offer variations on every move so that everyone, regardless of their starting point, physical ability or fitness level, gets the most out of the session.
"Whether you're 18 or 65, whether you've never set foot in a fitness class before or you're just curious about trying something new, these classes are for you.
"We've had students of every age, background and ability level come through our doors, and that's something we're incredibly proud of."
Asked what message she would have for those thinking of giving it a try, Kiera added: "Just come. Seriously - just come and try it!
"I know it can feel daunting, especially if you've never seen yourself as a 'fitness person' or you're worried you won't be able to do it.
"But that's exactly what our beginner classes are there for. Every single person who walks through our doors is met with encouragement, patience and zero judgement. Cosmic is an inclusive space above everything else.
"We believe that movement is for everybody, and we mean that without exception.
"You might surprise yourself more than you expect, and I can almost guarantee you'll leave with a smile on your face."
