Sixth form students at Fallibroome have been celebrating receiving their A-level results and making plans about the next stages of their careers or studies.

The Priory Lane school has announced that a 'large percentage' of students have gained places at their first-choice universities.

Students will be heading off to study at institutions across the UK, including St Andrews, Durham, York, Newcastle, Leeds, Liverpool, London and all points in between.

A special mention goes to the 20 students who achieved three A grades or better in their exams, and to those students who secured A* grades in every subject.

Ross Martland, headteacher, said: "Five heatwaves, one solar eclipse and now another great year of A-level outcomes for Fallibroome students!

"Our students have secured excellent outcomes on very demanding A-level courses.

"It has been brilliant to celebrate with them today, and to wish them well for the next steps in their lives.

"They have worked incredibly hard, but have also been great company, strong role models and contributed enormously to the broader life of the school during their time with us.

"They deserve enormous credit for these results, and leave with our genuine thanks for their contribution to Fallibroome and our best wishes for their future studies and careers."

Pupils Oli and Henry are going to Cambridge to study natural science and maths, with Ivy heading to rivals Oxford to study French and Spanish.

Others will be studying finance and economics, languages, music, fashion, biology, conservation and biochemistry to name but a few of their chosen fields

Fallibroome have also been celebrating the growing interest in pursuing other post-18 pathways.

This has led to students being accepted onto prestigious and competitive advanced and degree apprenticeship programmes with Barclays, Dunelm, Irwin Mitchell, Egis and PwC among others.

They also have students following their passion for music and performing arts at Leeds Conservatoire, Trinity Laban Conservatoire and LIPA.

Acting director of sixth form, Claire Burstow, said: "It has been a real pleasure to work with such a lovely cohort of students and see them develop into independent young people.

"Throughout their time in sixth form they have shown great resilience and strength of character. We are proud and delighted to share their celebrations today and wish them every success in the future".

"These outcomes reflect their hard work and commitment, alongside the dedication of staff who have supported them throughout their time at Fallibroome.

"It is particularly pleasing to see students progressing to such a wide range of exciting destinations, from leading universities to highly competitive degree apprenticeships and specialist institutions.
