A power cut last night left 33 Macclesfield homes and businesses without electricity

33 Macclesfield households and business premises suffered a power cut last (18th May) night following a fault at a local substation.

A spokesperson for Electricity North West said: "Our engineers attended site immediately and were able to restore power to all customers within the hour at 10:43pm.

"We understand the impact of being without power, especially during these difficult times, if anyone needs any more information during a power cut, they can follow Electricity North West on Twitter or Facebook for updates, or call us free on 105."

The power cut affected some customers in the following postcodes:

  • SK10 1FT
  • SK10 1FU
  • SK10 1JR
  • SK10 1JX
  • SK10 1LA
