Air ambulance called to incident at Astle Park Traction Engine Rally

One person has been injured following an incident at an annual steam rally.
Emergency services were called to Astle Park on Friday (August 8) where preparations for the 2025 Traction Engine Rally were getting underway.
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service have now confirmed that a person was involved in a collision with a steam powered vehicle, with an air ambulance having to be called to the scene.
A spokesperson for the service said: "Shortly after 4.20pm on Friday afternoon, one fire engine from Stockton Heath attended an incident close to Astle Park in Chelford, where the annual steam rally is being held.
"It is believed a casualty had been in collision with a steam powered vehicle and sustained injuries which were treated by ambulance and helimed crews."
Astle Park Traction Engine Rally takes place over August 9 and 10.
It will feature exhibits from all over the UK, including traction engines, showman's engines and fairground organs.
Visitors will also be able to see a collection of vintage and classic vehicles including cars, commercials, Series 1 Land Rovers, motorcycles, tractors, military vehicles and various working displays.
On top of this, there will be fun fairs, falconry, children's inflatables, various catering outlets, trade stands to browse, live music more.
North West Ambulance Service and Cheshire Police have been contacted for further information about the incident on Friday.
