Alton Towers Resort has revealed the name of its brand-new ride set to open in Spring 2025.

Toxicator will open inside Forbidden Valley, described as a "fearsome battleground of otherworldly aliens, suspicious scientific experiments and military might" by Alton Towers.

A statement on the theme park's website reads: "Take hold and brace yourself. Because your world is about to be turned upside down.

"Toxicator is ready to whip up a dizzying vortex of fear in the heart of the Forbidden Valley.

"Hang in suspense and feel the powerful forces at play, spinning you into a whirlwind of excitement and fear. Hearts will pound. Adrenaline will soar.

"Ready to face the ultimate thrill?"

Toxicator will open inside Forbidden Valley this Spring (Alton Towers Resort).

Judging from the promotional video for Toxicator, the ride appears to be similar to the former Ripsaw ride.

Ripsaw, a HUSS Top Spin, was taken out of operation in 2015, having opened at the park in 1997.

The ride saw up to 40 riders sat in a two-tier gondola being spun by a pair of robotic arms, as well as being lowered into water jets.
