A new dog groomers has opened in the heart of Macclesfield.

Canine beautician Natalia Pierard has opened her own salon on Sunderland Street, taking over the unit formerly home to The Treacle Tap.

Having now welcomed her first clients, Natalia can't wait to see what the future holds for the business.

She said: "Starting my own business is a huge step for me. I am excited about the opportunity to grow and am looking forward to the experience.

"It's very exciting and I'm happy for the opportunity to develop and grateful for the trust of every potential client.

"My aim is to provide an excellent service in a beautiful environment, making my clients happy and their dogs gorgeous!"

The 31-year-old continued: "To be opening a business on Sunderland Street, I feel really lucky.

"It is in a great location in the heart of Macclesfield and has a large car park just behind the building.

"With great local businesses on the doorstep, I have met a lot of nice people there who have helped me build my business and given me lots of words of support; it is an amazing place for my salon."

Natalia, 31, is originally from Poland but now lives with her family in Tytherington, including their 14-year-old Tibetan terrier Jackson.

Although she has always loved animals, she only recently began working in the dog grooming industry.

Having achieved an extended level three diploma in dog grooming, she felt the time was finally right to open her own salon.

"I have a lot of family support and I am constantly educating myself in the knowledge of dogs and grooming," Natalia said.

"One of the major benefits to owning your own business is having the ability to plan your own day and be flexible.

"I have always been independent for as long as I can remember.

"I work hard and I am totally committed to my work."

Natalia offers full grooming services as well as bath and blow-dry, face trims, hand strips and nail trims, with prices starting from £10.
