List of confirmed school closures as cold snap continues

Many schools remain closed as the cold snap continues.
Temperatures dropped as low as -8 last night and with more snow falling this morning, several schools in and around Macclesfield have made the decision to shut.
Some that reopened on Wednesday have even been forced to close once again.
Here all the school closures on Thursday, January 9, as confirmed by Cheshire East Council.

- Bosley Primary
- Dean Valley Primary
- Fallibroome
- Hurdsfield Primary School (also closed tomorrow)
- Kettleshulme St James School (also closed tomorrow)
- Macclesfield College (reopens Monday)
- Mottram St Andrew Primary
- Park Lane School
- Pott Shrigley Church School
- Poynton High School
- Vernon Primary
- Wincle CE Primary School
