A man touted as a future Prime Minister is to appear at an event to raise money for Macclesfield Constituency Labour Party.

Andy Burnham will appear at Poynton Sports Club from 6:30pm on Thursday April 13 2023.

The event titled 'Dance for Change' will raise money for Macclesfield Constituency Labour Party.

While it will likely be too late for all the funds to be spent on this May's local elections, it could boost the coffers of the campaign for who could become Macclesfield's next MP.

Labour have not yet revealed who their candidate for the next UK General Election will be, likely to take place within the next 18 months.

The Green Party and Conservatives have confirmed their candidates for macclesfield. No other party has.

Andy Burnham, Manchester's Mayor, will be performing a DJ set at the April event.

10 per cent of cash raised will go to local foodbanks, but none have been named. Macclesfield Nub News will update this article when it is known.
