A Macclesfield gym is to close down.

Anytime Fitness, of 20 Duke Street is to shut down at the end of the month.

An email sent to customers read: "It is with regret that we must inform you that Anytime Fitness Macclesfield has entered into administration and as such, will close its doors permanently from 5pm on 30th June 2024."

The gym is opposite the Duke Street carpark.

"We appreciate that this is a challenging situation for everyone and despite the club's best efforts to reach an agreement with the landlord and keep the business in operation, this has unfortunately been unsuccessful."

Anytime Fitness has been contacted for comment.
