Question Time is coming to Macclesfield.
The BBC's weekly debate programme will be filming in Macclesfield next month.
Applications to join the audience are open now, with those interested required to submit to questions to be considered for the show.
The application website states: "Question Time audience members will be requested to come up with two questions to be considered for the programme.
"Please note that everyone applying to be part of the studio audience is required to complete this form.
"The information is completely confidential and only used for the purpose of balance.
"It's important that as many applicants as possible get the chance to be part of a Question Time audience.
"If you have been in a QT audience within the past five years we are delighted that you want to do it all over again, but please give others a chance and don't apply this time round.
"If you have applied before but not been successful, we welcome your application."
The Macclesfield episode of Question Time will be filmed on January 22, 2026.
It is not yet known who the panellists will be, where filming will take place or what topics will be covered.
However, it is probably fair to assume that questions will be asked regarding the Adlington new town proposals.
The BBC press office has been contacted for further information.
