Macclesfield: you can now have a tipple at a tea room in Henbury.

Sandy Lane Tea Room is an independent, family run business set on Sandy Lane, Henbury.

The business which started earlier in the year, serves light bites, bakes, plus hot and cold drinks.

As well as their well-loved non-alcohol soft drink options, they've now added a boozy twist to their menu, such as Baileys or Irish coffee.

Their new menu also contains beer, cider, and fruity cocktails. Prosecco also isn't the only wine they serve, with red and white options.

The new expansion of their menu was the idea of Stella of Sandy Lane Tea Room, who introduces alcohol to their menu for their sixth-month birthday.

"We opened in June 2021 and offer a spacious, relaxed atmosphere to indulge in a wide selection of hot and cold drinks, light bites, cakes and very recently… alcohol," she said.

"We chose to get an alcohol licence as we we serve a delicate afternoon tea, and wanted to offer the option of Prosecco to further compliment the experience."

The alcohol licence has not changed the hours of the Macclesfield tea room, which continues to be Tuesday - Saturday 9:30am - 3:00pm.

"We have a range of soft drinks, milkshakes, and smoothies (summer only)," Stella added.

"As well as Bean to cup coffee, offering a wide selection of espresso based drinks.

"We've also just introduced a recently updated menu to suit the winter months, of which our specialty Sandy Lane Hot Pot is proving popular.

"We also have a large array of home made cakes and bakes that change daily."

The space also doubles up as an art gallery exhibiting 11 local artists, and they have an onsite florist and plant seller called Woodend Flowers.

You can find the small local business at Unit 2, Whirley Quarry, Sandy Lane, Macclesfield, SK10 4RJ SK10 4RJ Macclesfield, UK.

They have baby changing and disabled toilet facilities.

You can follow them on Facebook or Instagram.
