International comedy stars are coming to Macclesfield.

Macclesfield Comedy Club has released the dates for 2025 shows at RedWillow and Cinemac.

The year kicks off at the Park Green bar on Thursday, January 9, with Live at the Apollo's Stephen Bailey, who is currently midway through a sold-out UK tour.

He will be joined by MC Jonathon Mayor, award-winning comedian Karen Bayley and Sammee Anibaba, who finished third in the RedWillow Brewery New Comedian of the Year 2024.

Looking ahead to the rest of year, a number of big-name TV performers, circuit legends and rising stars are set to bring the laughter to Macclesfield.

Promoter Kev Rook said: "We're really excited about 2025. Acts like Darren Harriott and Phil Nichol have been on our wish list for a long time so it's great to have them secured and booked in, along with bringing back some of the crowd favourites from the past three years and as always championing and supporting new talent. 

"To rival last year's show with Dylan Moran we have some very exciting plans to bring more international stars to the town, a kids comedy club, a Macc Pride show, our new act competition and some unexpected pop-ups in new locations - it's going to be a big year!"
