B&M meets traditional car boot at Macclesfield's new discount outlet

B&M meets traditional car boot.
That's how Anthony James Price describes his new business, AJ's Bargains.
Operating out of a 6,000 square foot unit on Union Street, the shop will have everything from furniture and electricals to stationary and home décor, all at a fraction of their usual price.
Anthony, 38, said: "I'm really looking forward to it but terrified at the same time.
"I've thrown my life savings into this place so yeah, scared but at the same time excited as hell!"

Macclesfield-born Anthony first gained experience trading in his younger days, purchasing pallets of returns or liquidation stock and selling the products at local car boots.
After a few years running a fairground business, he moved to the Philippines, where he lived for several years before returning to Macclesfield.
Having saved up, he is now ready to open his own store, with plans to cut the ribbon in early October.
The products on offer come from a variety of sources, including customer returns, end-of-line stock, and liquidation clearances.

Asked what customers can expect, Anthony said: "The only way I can really describe it is like a giant car boot stall.
"It's a bit like B&M Bargains I suppose but a bit crazier and more variety.
"When stuff's gone, it's gone. The stock will change quite regularly which is a good thing."
