The Bollington Brewing Company has made the successful move from Bollington to a new spot in Macclesfield on Brook Mill, Parker Street.

Their location is set to be a multifunctional space, serving as a brewery, a bar, and a shop.

On Saturday June 8, they hosted a brewery open day to give people a sneak preview of the site and what it has to offer.

This was alongside the annual Macc Beer Week, which brought many beer tourists from Macclesfield and beyond into the town centre.

Founder, Lee Wainwright, explained the details of their new home and what it means for the local beer scene and the community.

"It's fantastic really, it's always been a dream of ours to have a brewery and a taproom all in one place," said Lee.

"And to have it in a historic building like Brook Mill is absolutely incredible.

"The brewing is all in one place now, it was split in four units before.

"We're in the middle of Macclesfield as well which is fantastic."

With the new location, it has also resulted in an investment into newer and upgraded equipment, to craft even more refreshing pints for the locals.

Lee is also looking ahead to further changes which will be made, especially to the taproom, which is still a work in progress.

"We've moved the kit; we've upgraded it massively as we've moved it," explained Lee.

"We've put a few new bits of kit in to improve the quality.

"Everyone's always been so supportive of us so it's fantastic."

Lee wanted to especially thank the people of Bollington for their support, since he founded the company in 2008.

The precise opening date in August is to be confirmed. (Image - Macclesfield Nub News)

The Brewery has established multiple pubs and bars across Cheshire, including Poynton and Congleton, as well as Bollington and Macclesfield. With Brook Mill, now being their most recent.

The public opening of their new premises aims to be in August, and this will include popular Brewery tours where you will be able to sample the produce the company has to offer whilst discovering the secrets behind their award-winning ales.

Until August, there will be a few more pop-ups like this most recent weekend's launch event.
