A Bollington pub has been forced to shut.
The Poacher's Inn announced on Monday, January 5, that it has ceased trading.
The decision comes amid rising costs, which have made the business 'unsustainable'.
A post shared to the pub's Facebook page reads: "We are deeply saddened to announce that the Poacher's Inn has had to cease trading.
"Rising overheads and increased costs during these difficult times have made it unsustainable.
"We are very sorry, but we gave it everything and it just didn't work out.
"Thank you all for your incredible loyalty and support over the last year – it meant the world to us."
According to a member of staff at the pub, the closure should only be temporary, until a new landlord is found.
It is understood the venue's parent company has entered liquidation and all staff have been laid off without pay.
